My approach

Everyone is different, which is why I tailor each session to the specific needs of who I’m working with in the moment. I lean towards a holistic approach to therapy making sure to encompass your physical, emotional, spiritual, and sexual self, and invite people of all cultures, religions, relationship styles, genders, and sexualities into my office.

I like to describe my style of therapy as going on a road trip together.

We’ll start by meeting, identifying our general destination, and map out a loose guide on how we’ll be getting there.

Next, we’ll get the car ready. How is it running? Do the tires need air? Does it have gas? What do we need to pack to make the trip as smooth as possible? Together, we will make sure we have all the tools we need to get going.

Once we head out onto the road, I’ll be your co-pilot. For the most part, you’re in charge of where we drive each day. Sure, I’ll point out some interesting or important stops we should make, but ultimately… you’re driving. It’s up to you how you want to break up the days, and I’ll be sure to check in on your need for a break every so often. If you need a moment, I’ll put a hand on the wheel and keep us going.

Just remember, progress is not always linear. We may turn around to check out that one roadway again, or a certain street might be closed forcing us to take a detour. That’s ok too, as long as we keep driving.

Who knows, we might end up exactly where you wanted us to arrive, or we may end up in another place entirely unexpected. Either way, we’ll make the trip together and I’ll provide all the support I can on our journey.

If this resonates and you feel like discussing whether I can help you get to your destination, reach out to me here.
