Meigan fERNANDEZ, LMHC, LAC

LMHC (MH-19068)

Originally a die-hard Jersey girl, I moved to St. Pete in late 2019. While it was initially tough to explore my new surroundings (thanks Covid…), I quickly grew to deeply love and appreciate all of the warm sun, exotic plant life, local gems, and genuinely kind people this city has to offer. However, don’t ask me which state I prefer… it’s impossible for me to choose!

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, and a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of New Jersey, I’ve had the opportunity to work with various populations over the last 8 years. Throughout my time working in mental health, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a residential treatment center for pregnant and parenting adolescent mother’s, a day program for adults with chronic mental health disorders, a community mental health agency with a wide range of treatment availabilities, and a private group practice.

Having been able to explore such vastly different aspects of the counseling world, I’ve been able to hone in on my passion for working with those looking to strengthen your self identity, create boundaries to not only protect your inner peace and well-being but also to show others how you expect to be treated, and help build more intimate and genuine relationships.

I work hard to bring my authentic self into every session with you. In my opinion, life is about loving yourself, making connections, living up to your biggest potential, and leaning into all of the things you find happiness in. Even more importantly, I firmly believe everyone has the ability to do all of those things. If that’s how you’d like to live, then we’d probably work well together.
